The Alaska Center has an Accessible Services Program (ASP) to better serve patrons who experience disabilities and individuals with special needs. It is our goal to provide a fully enjoyable experience for all patrons. By providing these services, we hope that patrons with disabilities will have no hesitation in attending an event at the Center. The ASP exists to provide the best available seating to meet any individual's needs. The program may be used to order tickets to events, request special services, or for other assistance needed in order that an individual may more fully enjoy an event.

Seating for Customers Who Experience a Disability

CenterTix is committed to serving our customers who experience a disability or who have special needs. Important improvements have been made to our service which allow individual seats to be designated as accessible and for these seats to be purchased online.

Mobility Disabilities

Accessible seats for customers who have a substantial mobility impairment are available for every show. The individual using these seats does not have to be seated in a wheelchair (unless otherwise indicated by the show description). For reserved events with assigned seating, these seats will appear on our map with the letter "W" in the center. For general admission events, any ticket can be purchased for use by a person with a mobility disability; and we recommend that the ticket buyer contact CenterTix at access@centertix.com so that the event staff can be informed.

Hearing Disabilities

Assistive Listening Devices — Sound from the stage is broadcast directly to you by our in-house listening system (Listen Technologies LR-52000-072). This system has a standard 3.5mm output jack, so you can use your own headset or one of our stereo headsets. A limited number of T-coil compatible loop lanyards are also available. Listening devices are kept at the House Manager's station in the lobby prior to and during performances. This service is free of charge, however a deposit or ID is required.

Inteprreted Performances — ASL interpreter view seats for use by individuals with a substantial hearing impairment are available for select shows. For shows that have committed to providing this service, the seats will appear on our map with the letter " I " in the center. In some cases, the interpretation is only possible and must be requested at least 3 weeks prior to the performance. Only if a request is received before the deadline will the ASL interpreter be arranged and the interpreter view seats be made available.
